G-Star:
G-Star International BV designs is a Dutch company that manufactures, advertises and sells good quality jeans, other denim products, casual wear and shoes for men and women globally.
G-Star’s philosophy is to produce innovative and distinctive new styles of jeans by continually experimenting and developing their product. An example of this is seen in their “Raw Denim” which first hit the market in 1996, and has been copied by other jeans manufacturers.
Each year when new jeans collections are brought out with new innovative washes and details. The G-Star brand strives to be continually futuristic and not just “one of the crowd”.
Hudson Jeans:
Hudson Jeans were founded in 2002 by Peter Kim, a Korean-American,
and have a home in LA, despite the Union Jack logo. These jeans are desired by celebrities and consumers alike, due to their great fit that is flattering to the bottom and makes your legs appears longer and slimmer, and also to the high quality both of the raw materials (only Japanese and Italian denim are used) and the attention to detail throughout the entire manufacturing process. Hudson Jeans have branded hardware including rivets and buttons.
Hudson Jeans comes in a number of different fits for women, including everything from skinny to wide legged, all with the trademark union jack on the back right pocket. A range of Hudson Jeans for men has recently also been created.
Notify:
The Notify jeans brand is French, and it was created by Moroccan born Maurice Ohayon in 2003. After having worked with many other materials, he was ultimately introduced to denim, which he found to be the most fascinating of all fabrics. Notify jeans employ exacting cuts, and are made by craftsman using traditional hand detailing, such as embroidering “Notify” on the inside of the waistband on every pair of Notify jeans.
Notify jeans are high fashion and elegant. The brand is continuing to grow and innovate, the latest styles being based upon a study of the female body. Notify jeans are available in the following styles - boot cut, wide leg and straight leg.
James Jeans:
The James Jean brand was created by a Los Angeles fashion designer called Seun Lim. His jeans create a flattering silhouette due to small details that trick the eye, such as slash corner pockets together with a fading pattern that makes the legs appear longer than they are. They also lift the bum to give an overall slimmer appearance. James Jeans for women are available as both high and low waisted varieties, in one of the following four cuts; Boot leg, Straight leg, Slim and skinny leg, Flare and wide leg. Men’s jeans are available in the following cuts: Boot leg, Relaxed leg, Straight leg, Slim leg.
Superfine:
Superfine is a jeans company based in London. It was founded in 2003 by two ladies, Lucy Pinter and Flora Evans. The trademark style of Superfine jeans is a clean, skinny silhouette aiming for the best fit possible and using the highest quality denim.
Logos and excessive hardware are not evident on Superfine jeans, although some of the jeans sport interesting textures, materials and designs.
Nudie jeans:
Nudie jeans is a Swedish brand of jeans (like Acne) which was founded in 1999 by Maria Erixsson, who lives in Gothenburg. The production of the jeans is ethical and no sweatshop factories are allowed to produce the Nudie brand.
Maria Erixsson formerly worked as Artistic Director for Lee Jeans. The Nudie brand specializes in raw and prewashed denim jeans. Whilst Nudie jeans are a brand of jeans for men, some women like the fit of their jeans. The cuts most likely to be appealing to women are Tight Long John, Thin Finn, High Kai and Narrow Boot.
J Brand:
J Brand designer jeans are a collaboration between denim manufacturer Jeff Rudes and Susie Crippen, an American celebrity stylist. J Brand jeans are classically cut, with the emphasis on a good fit for a sophisticated, timeless look.
They have an understated appearance, lacking the crystals and studs that embellish other designer brands. The jeans are stylish and sexy without being overtly “fashionable” - they are well finished off and are available in simple dark washes. They are designed to make a woman feel beautiful and draw attention to her - not the jeans.
